I will teach two classes/seminars at the Fall Rally on computer stuff. By poll voting you have chosen:
1.) The Website and how to add pictures.
2.) Social Media, How to Stay Connected with Family while on the road.
The Website class will have to be rewritten since we have a new and improved and growing HOME page. If you have not visited, try clicking at the top of this page, HOME. How exciting is this??
Webmaster has informed us in other threads here on the MOC that the new pages will take some time to build and that some of the old pages are still connected. Won't we have fun reviewing and learning this at the Rally?? YES indeedy!
Now, that picture stuff. You will need to bring your computer (and cords or plenty of charged up battery power) to class. You will need to be able to get ON the web and ON the MOC. You need your password information for the MOC. It will be helpful if you have figured out how to reduce the size of photos that come off your camera. It will be very helpful if you have some photos stored ON the web and know where they are and how to retrieve them (passwords again).
For the Social Media class I will cover Facebook, Google Plus, touch on Skype. I don't Twitter, so, if you do, contact me, you can help me out here!
I envision this class as more of a open seminar, a trading of ideas and hints, so, if you have hints, please come prepared to share (we don't bite, honest!
). Again, it is important for you to have your computer, passwords, be able to get ON the web and ON Facebook etc., if you have accounts there already.
These classes are directed more at the computer users, but, if you are using an iPad or other tablet or your cell phone, and you know how to surf around well on it, come along and join in.
If you Facebook or Twitter from your cell phone, again, please contact me, I need your expertise.
Please plan on being at the class site before the start time so you can get all connected and set up. Being late takes away from the actual time we have to learn and share, and believe me, from past years experience, we need every minute of actual class time available.
