So, who calls you into the kitchen?

I have been sitting here in my chair, warm kitty purring on my lap and I keep hearing this voice from the kitchen, it keeps saying "Warm Cherry pie, with a big scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream".
I have ignored it, telling myself in an hour or so, I will be thinking about going to bed, but it is persistent. I'm not even hungry, I had the breaded fish dealies from the fisherman in the bright yellow raincoat for dinner. "The tartness of the Cherries, warm and sweet, then the cold ice cream"... darn it there it goes again.
Aw what the heck, I'm in!
What calls you into the kitchen at night?

Ok, so there's this new topping out there (new to me), and when you slather it all over your ice cream it becomes rock solid! Favorite flavor is Reese's shell topping. Just don't store it in the 'fridge like I first did.....then it becomes rock solid in the container! Gotta go....it's that time again!

My "call" comes from a little voice in my system somewhere that says, "I've lost 39 pounds in the last two years. Surely you can give me a little something extra once in a while!"
Sometime I give in, and sometimes I say, "Two years of 'work' can be destroyed by 5 minutes in the kitchen every so often, so shut up you little #(*$#(*&."

Next time, Jim, you don't want that cherry pie a la mode, you just give Sue my phone number. That's downright unAmerican to not respond quickly to what has to be just about my favorite dessert! Shame on you, Jim!

My weakness is chocolate (say peanut butter cups) but I’ve been trying to fight the calling for it. Your posting didn’t help me any but I will win!

Yeah, weight is one of those things where when we lose we win but when we win we don't lose.
