Dodge Navigation Points for Intersections

I've got a 2010 Dodge with built in Nav and can't figure out how to enter the intersection of two interstates. There is a feature for entering intersections but all I've been able to do with this is streets with actual street names.

I've tried things like I80 or Interstate 80 or US 80 but it won't take it. Perhaps Dodge doesn't think of these as destinations or something but I can't figure out how to do it.

Anybody got a clue?

I also have the Dodge Nav system in my rig. I have learned to pack my Garmin along if I want to locate something as the one in the Dodge is in my opinion JUNK! If I had my choice I would buy a aftermarket unit. I can not even locate a Home Depot close to my location. If I try it will give me one in NC but I live in WA. DUH!!

pbahlin, For what it's worth, make sure you are on the correct state or area map. I was coming from Oregon to Ca today and mine wouldn't pick up anything I was entering, then I realized I was on the wrong map. Your Dodge may be different but it may be worth looking into.....

We used ours on a trip to Yellowstone from MI this summer.Ours worked great and had no problems finding POI's along our route. As the other poster said make sure your in the correct state. We have had zero issues with ours and I prefer it over our Tom Tom.

I would get a Garmin. I have the Dodge NAV and it is pretty lame compared to an after market one. Check into what it costs to keep it updated. I purchased a Nuvi for the car and it was much easier to use for sure! The one in the truck has steered me wrong more than once. Also consider the truckers version. Lots of useful features there.

The NAV in my 2007.5 doesn't even get used any more. It's not even touch screen. The 2008 and later are supposed to be much better, though. But I still use my Garmin Nuvi. Pbahlin, sorry I'm no help with your question. I don't suppose there's a website for whomever manufactures the nav so you can ask them?
