How much do you weigh?
How much do you weigh, and how do you get up on your roof?
It's my understanding that the ladder is rated for 250 pounds. (No! I'm not saying that I weigh that much)(My wife says it though)
I guess one of my concerns is going up and down the ladder. Will it weaken the supports? Doesn't look that solid to me.

Thanks Bobby. I had a Dr's appointment at the VA today. I have been going every 6 months since 1984 to the same doctor. I'm 70% DAV. He said today that I needed to loose 1 pound a week, 24 total for when I go back in 6 months.
I celebrated with a Texas size BBQ Baked Potato this evening. I'll go on the diet Monday!!!! I'm only a few pounds behind you.
Edited: p.s., but on me, it looks good
Edited: p.p.s. Once in my back yard doing some work, I stood up and huffed and puffed a little. My Marine Son said, "Dad, you're a little out of shape!"
I had to remind him that "ROUND" is a shape.

Wayne, those supports are far, far stronger than you realize. On our 2001 2880RL I had two bikes tied to that ladder when I came out of a steep downgrade filling station and caught one of the bikes on the ground. I did not even know it. Vicki happened to be in our car, behind me (our vacation days) and saw the whole thing. She said the entire ladder lifted up a few inches and then back down. The only thing damaged was it cracked the aluminum vertical post on one side of the ladder, bent one of the horizontal aluminum mounting bars and bent the mounting bolt. The Montana itself and the mounts on the body of the Montana were not damaged. Only the ladder suffered damage. And that one screw in the ladder.
I weigh 200 and have been on the roof a number of times.

Waynem,
my 2008 3400 still has a decal on the back side of our ladder indicating 300 lbs.

I am 190 and am on the ladder quite a bit. Raising a Wilson antenna, placing a flagpole and checking and sweeping slide toppers quite regularly. I feel confident going up and down that ladder. Of course, I wouldn't jump up and down on it.
Hope this helps somewhat...

265 and no problems other than I am deathly afraid of heights and that small ladder. Every time I get on the roof I swear that ladder shrinks and gets smaller. So I bought one of those Little Giant ladders use it now. It also shrinks when I get on the roof, but not as much.

I am 250 and I have been regularly going up and down that ladder (2007 3400RL) for almost two years. It's on my rig up/rig down checklist to go up and double check everything on the roof. Still trying to talk my wife at 100+ lbs less than me into going up top.
The rungs still feel solid, but during my summer checkup at my dealership this year, I will have them check all the connections and bolts.

I'm 295 and have been up the ladder a few times. Usually to get the pine needles off the slides when leaving the campground.
The ladder feels pretty strong, the only problem I have is finding it to get down. (The belly tends to hide that little ladder.

Wow! Compared to all you BEEF EATERS, I'm just a tiny, tiny guy at 245#.
I was hoping to hear, "Don't go up, don't go up, it's not safe!)
But I'd still rather park next to aaaa...! What's her name?

240 here and I've been up and down many times. Always thought it was a bit flexable and loose. Two weeks ago I lost my two bikes w/carrier AND ladder outside of New Orleans on I10. The ladder broke right off about a foot from the top overhang. The support arms broke right out through the flanges. I suspect that the flanges wore out by use (and rough road - I10) and it finally let go. Looking for another ladder now with new supports and flanges. Mine is a 2004 I bought in Oct 2007 so I don't know about prior use.
