Even though the desk in my 3400RL is mainly for the printer and wireless router, it's also a great place to sit and watch all the activity at the pool. So in my humble opinion, the desk is a big asset. Think I'll keep it.

No apology needed for me although I am "old" I agree with your thinking. I usually sit with comp. in my lap, but if I need a desk, I use the one provided in our 3455. Larry

There are now several Montana models with a larger TV located in the same area as the 3400RL smaller TV.

Oh Dave, go get a towel and dry behind your ears. Hey good to see you back posting again. I can see your point because with today's technology that BIG TV SCREEN may also become your computer. And those of us struggling with the small screens on our laptops might prefer the larger screen sitting in our recliners with a remote keyboard. I think options of the entertainment slide would be a good thing - might even be some other uses.
As for those who think Bingo's picture does not reflect his age you gotta consider that he just came through an ordeal of being MR MOM for 3 or 4 days and look how it has aged him.

The desk is one thing we miss in our MH.

I think Montana Sky has a very good idea with asking for options! Each Special Order/made to order would be exciting and open up new ideas!!!

The desk is a lock out for us.Will not consider a RV without a computer desk.To each their own.BTW. We have met Montana Sky and he may well be the youngest MOC'er. In fact for a young guy he has done very well.In terms of options I have always said more options should be offered but theway they build these things on the line that would not be cost effective to the company or the buyer.

We also believe that a desk is an important factor when deciding on a floor plan. What we have learned is that it does not have to be in the slide position of the 3400 to be effective, hence the 3455 plan we have now. Flexibility and options are always a good thing for the consumer and as it stands now we have not seen "our" perfect floor plan within the Montana line up.

Bring the desk forward and square off the tv area and make a pop up tv like the rear entertainment model.

We don't have a 3400 but our back slide is identical to the 3400. We use the desk and file draw all the time and wouldn't buy another unit without a desk and file draw. When we get ready to leave we just move our files from our office to the file drawer in the RV, very simple process.

We chose our 3455 because of the large TV and entertainment ctr. Also liked the desk near the door/ kitchen. Liked the SA because bath all in one room. Washer/ dryer not important to us but we have prep in bedroom closet. We had narrowed to 3 plans. We liked the 3750 but no chair/s, no AC vents upstairs (2010), us up and down stairs often didnt seem good. The 3400 desk next to TV didn't seem good, plus we didn't like the divided bath. We would like to see a 3900 in the flesh , looks interesting.
