Interesting stuff

Has nothing to do wuth Rv'ing. Just picked up a new Honda Odyssey on lease as out Accord lease was up.

Note the following.

Assembly.. Lincoln Alabama

Vehicles in ths car line..US Canadian parts 75%
Major sourse of Foreign parts...Japan 15%

So where does the other 10% come from???

Country of Origin Engine USA
Country of Origin Transmission USA

I always thought the drive train came from Japan..

So what 15 % comes from Japan and how about the other 10%
If it is like my Ford it would be Mexico...

So The car is built in The USA by Americans. 75% of the parts are made here by Americans. My truck has a lot of mexico parts in it and I think they now build the motor in Mexico

So..Is Honda a Foriegn car????

Hmmm - showed this to my wife who just had a bad day receiving some 'refurbished' military equipment -- her response -- the other 10 percent -- it is missing.. Just left off or out...

I think there is a lot we don't know or understand about this Foreign stuff. If 75 % of this Honda is built in North America
how much money does that generate to Americans and Canadians. How about all the parts that are built here. The vendors that supply the parts and people that work for them. The taxes that are paid.
