Bourbon Trail

We are planning on doing the Bourbon trail and are looking for a place to stay. Will be in the Bardstown and Frankfort, KY area mostly. I prefer full hookups and a wooded setting. We have looked at Grandma's and the Kentucky horse park and neither made us go wow I have to stay there. Willing to drive a little to have a nice place to stay. So we are still looking and anxiously awaiting your suggestions!!

We've stayed at the Kentucky Horse Park two times and were happy. Sites are large. The private tour to the horse country was wonderful and worth the $$. Also the tour there was good.

Forgot to ask -- tell me about the Bourbon Trail. We'll be near there going to New England.

You may consider Fort Boonesboro State Park. it's a large State Park. It is on 627 about half way between Richmond and Winchester. It’s a good road that is a short cut for us when we are traveling I-64 West to I-75 South.
