Recommendations for San Antonio

Hi Tried a search for last year=0 Never have good luck on search. Need a spot for about 3 days in San Antonio. Stayed in one beside I35 2 years ago but would like to try another in a northerly direction. Thanx Dan

Sue calls it Blazing Saddles, it's actually Blazing Star. A really nice RV Resort. It's on the outside loop, maybe West, or North, can't remember. I HATE the roads and traffic around that town, good luck with your stay. I would go up to New Braunfels and stay, nice small town, cool little antique village at Grone, or something.
Google it and you will get the correct info, I go through life, paying attention about 50% of the time.

Blazing Star is on 1604 (the outside loop) fairly near Sea World - it's a beautiful park - have only driven past, but it has a good reputation - that's on the northwest side of town -

We just stayed at Admiralty RV Park which is nice, almost all pull-throughs. WiFi is $15.00 per week. Blah! It is very close to Blazing Star, both are very near Sea World. We also stayed at Potter's Creek, a Corp of Engineer park north of the city. It's on the lake and the sites are very roomy. No sewer or WiFi at the COE park. But it's a nice setting.

We stayed at the San Antonio KOA and we loved it. Bus right at the door of the park, just 6 miles from downtown and in an OK area. Lots to see and do, wifi was free, full hookups. Great park and nice folks.

We stayed at Greentree Village back in May of this past year. It is really a Mobile Home Park, but they have a separate section for shortimers and we were there for 3 nights. It was about 1 -2 miles off I-35 on the north side of San Antonio and about 2 exits north of the 410 loop so no real highway noise. Sites were good-sized and the price was right for the San Antonio area (it is a Good Sam park). The other parks mentioned are nice, but a little pricey. We would stay at Greentree Village again if needing a campsite in SA.
Happy Trails!

We are in Traveler's World RV Park in San Antonio. Came for 3 months and liked it and San Antonio so much we are staying 6 months. We are the closest RV Park to downtown, about 3 miles, and the bus stops out front. They honor all the discount cards such as Good Sam. The owners/operators are very friendly and helpful. There is also a park that is connected so that you can walk a dog, run or bike along the paved trail along the river. The telephone number is 1-800-755-8310. By the way, we are supposed to have a cold wave come in next Tuesday for about 3 day with lows in the 20's at night.

Thanx to all. We picked Greentree and it worked just fine for us as all we needed was a place to spend the nights. Relatives and friends in the area so we were never in the campground for any activities. Off to Port Aransas beach for a few days this morning. Wish us luck as we hate snow on the beach!
