Well, we dug out of the snow......

slid down the ice, plowed through the fog and are now on the road, heading for Texas. We don't really have to do that in Alabama but it is 45' this morning and we're thankful that the rain is behind us. We stopped at McDonald's to get breakfast for Greta and coffee for us and we're hoping to get around 400 miles under our belt today. Our first destination includes a stopover to visit with Imp and Trebor (Bob and Myrna) our co-wagonmasters for the past fall rally and then we'll head for San Antonio and cheer for Iowa in the Alama Bowl. Go Hawkeyes!

We hope everyone had a wonderful, blessed Christmas. We're thankful to have all the snowbird tasks behind us so that we can enjoy the journey and the Montana lifestyle. See you on the road!

Have a safe trip - watch out for our crazy San Antonio drivers! Where do you stay when you are in San Antonio? Weather here is great - in the 60's all this week with sunshine - go, Aggies!

You have snow in Alabama? We don't even have any snow up here in Ontario. Maybe we should re-think our travel plans????

Travel safely, we will miss you in the RGV, but "enjoy God's handiwork", wherever you go.

Safe rides, have a great time, and go Iowa! ??? I know nothing about the games but, since you are rooting for them, I will add my voice to the din!

No snow here either, well, a smidge last night, only collected on the deck and the bbq grill back there. Gone now.

Hey, refocused, we'll give a big GIG 'EM for the Aggies when we're at the game. We have two Aggies in the family!

John, we do have snow in Alabama, about once every five years. This isn't the year yet. If we get a forecast for an inch of snow, everything closes down, schools close, churches rescheduled, and life stops. They can't handle it and the safest place for everyone is in their homes....not in their cars! We'll miss the gang in the RGV, too. Nothing better than good food and fellowship. Y'all be safe!

Carol, glad to hear that you and Al will be able to get off on schedule. Safe travels. Greta is happy that we've FINALLY left. She was ready to leave the first day we put stuff in the trailer.

Refocused, we're staying at Admirality RV Park because of it's location near Glen's family's motel. You'll appreciate our intense desire to see Iowa whip Texas! Gig 'em!

Looking forward to seeing you, too, Dave. And, Helen, we will fulfill your request to give Bob and Myrna a hug....as long as they don't beat us too bad in Mexican Train!!!

Go Hawks! As a fellow Iowan I thought I had better throw in a extra cheer for them. Will be watching from the recliner instead of inside the stadium this year.

Ron, if it doesn't get any warmer, we're going to wish we were in a recliner in front of the TV on Saturday! We had to scrape frost off our windshield in Shreveport this morning. It registered 28'. But it is scheduled to warm up into the 60s on gameday. We'll give 'em a cheer for ya!

The next chance of snow is scheduled in over the weekend for us here in NW Iowa anyway. So 60 sounds pretty good. Enjoy the game and we will watch for you and Glen.
