I've know of several owners that had problems with their tanks, especially the top cracking where the inlet comes in. Besides the added supports on the bottom of the tanks, they also cut the pipe off coming into the tank and attached a flexible tubing or rubber tubing via radiator clamps to the incoming pipe and the tank inlet. This gave them more flexibility when going down the beautiful concrete, blacktopped and dirt roads. Worth a try any way to relieve some of the pressure on the inlet neck of the tank.

I did almost the same exact thing that rohrmann did. I filled the space (with wood) above the stock u shaped supports that came from the factory. I did not add any extra supports. These tanks have a history of leakage do to there 2 piece design with a glued on top. They generally give way when over filled or driven down the road with waste in them. Try not to do either of these things. My tanks also moved back and forth so I installed some wood blocks to stop that from happening.
