On the move

We left T for Tennessee and have arrived at T for Texas. Currently in Livingston and will proceed toward Corpus Christi and Brownsville in about a week.

Give a shout if you are near our flight path. We can make our own mini-rally.

Welcome to Texas. We are always glad to see Tennesseans. Texans are indebted to Tennessee folks. A lot of those who fought in the Alamo were from Tennessee. But the latest blessing you folks have bestowed on us is to help us get rid of Bud Adams and the Houston Oilers. It seems to have worked out for both of us.

Thanks for the welcome, Stiles. This is our first visit to Texas with the rv, my wifes first ever vist (flying thru DFW doesn't count) and my first other than business trips. We have come to survey South Texas for winter spots in future years.

You will find many spots in south Texas. Several of our members are "Winter Texans" and I feel sure you will find a comfortable place and pleasant people to winter with there. We just last week spent a night at the Rainbow Inn in Livingston before coming to our home site about 75 miles north of there.

Gene,
Don't forget to check out the CG around the Southern Metropolitan area of Houston, like Dickinson, League City, etc.

Two that come to mind are Green Caye, in Dickinson, and Bayou in Texas City/San Leon area. There are others in the area.

Where are you staying in Livingston? Also, look at some CG's in Willis. We like "Park On The Lake," for the fishing.

Livingston has a nice CG called "North Shore."

Drive on down to Johnson Space Center and take the tour.
