New Units Towed or Rail to Dealers

Okay, newbie question... Are all Montanas towed from the plant to the dealerships, or do they ever use rail to get them to a central location like the west coast, and then tow from there?

Reason for asking is all these Marathon threads - I am assuming I already have over 2,000 miles on my "new" Marathons so they must be closer to detonation and I wanted to see if this is correct. Oh, and do the truckers torque the lug nuts on the way like you're supposed to when they're new at different intervals?

They are towed, so they do have the miles from Goshen to your dealer.

That looks like the exact same location ours was when we picked it up, Burlington?
Looks a very nice unit.

Not only are they towed, but we were passed by three on the way home from Goshen all of them doing 75-80mph!

Towed, and I know there used to be at least one hauler here on the MOC that could tell you for sure about the torque question.

Personally, I would not assume that all drivers are created equal and that it was not done. Safer to check and NOT assume.

Also in their rush to get them delivered so they can return for another you never know if they hit a curb or anything else that could do invisable damage to the tires. Could be the cause of some very early failures.

I got stranded once in september on I80 in Wyoming for 3 days becuase of a blizzard. Thare was a guy there pulling a new 5er to a dealer. He spent the 3 days in his truck baeause he couldnt stay in the camper, and he had the keys to the unit.
