Troy and cheryl

Hello, from Florida. We bought our new to us 2019 Montana 3121rl. And are on the road. We have a full June planned and are making plans for the rest of the year. What do you think about thousand trails membership? We received some free nights from lazy day RV and are thinking about it. Also there are a couple of small tears in the tan ish upholstery. I'm thinking upholstery tape?. Well my wife and I are now retired!!! BIG trips ahead. Great to be here and let the good times begin. Go gators!!!

Welcome to the forum.
The failure of the faux leather on the furniture is discussed quite often here. It seems the RV industry was plagued with this problem from ~2011-2012 thru 2020 (?) due to a failure in the adhesive between the fabric backing and the "leather". I have read about the same problem in other forums including expensive motorhomes. Most folks here choose to purchase new chairs or couches.

We did not know about the leather failure when we bought our unit. We covered the couch and the chairs because we have dogs. We have not seen any failure yet - but we are not fulltimers living in the RV.

Welcome to the MOC and congrats. As far as Thousand Trails is concerned, I'm personally NOT a fan. It's time share for RV parks. Making it impossible for non members to get in them. Not to mention the cost of membership. I got a year membership free when I purchased my new unit. We had to sit through a sales presentation (which I walked out of) in return for a weekend at a crappy park. We did manage to get a week at a park on the American river but that was it.
