Check your spare

I recently replaced my tires and spare. I was faithful about checking the air in my spare but I had never removed it. When I did I discovered that the sliding bars that the spare sits on was wearing through the side walls of the tire. Glad I found this before I needed it. I attached a photo of the sidewall wear.

When I installed the new tire I used pool noodles between the tire and tubes to protect the sidewalls. I attached a photo of that setup.

Just a warning if you have the same slide out spare tire carrier to take out the tire and check it.

Pool noodles may not help you in the long run. You may be better off using rubber hose. Looks like the tire vibrates and not as tight in there as it should be. That com es from the tire losing air. You could under fill the tire then install it on the rack then fill it back to proper PSI that will tighten it up.
