We have a down payment on a Montana 3231CK witch is 37.5 feet long and are wondering if we should buy a 35’ camper so we could fit in more campground spaces or doesn’t it matter.

We haven't had any problems at 37'' Montana feet. (39'-10" actual)
Just tell them what they want to hear.

Our 343RL HC is overall 38'1" actual length. Nary a problem coast to coast 2X along with all over the east coast. Some state owned CGs in NY State would be a problem but only if you didn't do your homework first.

It depends on where you want to go. Most private rv parks have sites big enough. Newer state parks have larger sites than older parks. Some national parks will have fewer sites that will work for that size rig. We've been across the US and Canada and from the Northwest to the Southeast and never had a problem as long as you do like Dave W says and do your homework. Always try to avoid a site that is 90 degrees to the road. It takes a lot of swing room for the front of the TV to get into those sites.

We love our 3230 (RV Fridge) which is the same as yours. You won’t have much more issue than with a 35’ unit. We moved up from a 3160 (dyslexic 3120). We do a lot of boondocking and love the extra space. I recommend finding one, sitting in it for a few HOURS and discuss where everything will go. If you are still thinking about a 3120, do the same with it. We took a 38’ unit to Alaska without issue. If you have specific questions, PM me. Best of luck on your decision. Buy what works for you.

So you have the same model I am looking at. Mine is a 2021 3231 close with a electric refrig. You have a 1 ton I was told a gmc 6.6 diesel would pull it just fine. What is your thought on a 3/4 ton truck

If I was buying a truck, I would buy a 1 ton. If I had a 3/4 ton I’d examine the specs. There are people that wouldn’t pull without a 1 ton dually. Do what makes sense for you after you look at the numbers. Best of luck.

The correct tow vehicle is always about the numbers. The sticker inside the drivers door that states the payload for that truck will let you know if it's what you need. I think you'll find that you'll need a minimum of a one ton truck in order to stay within the trucks payload.

Start with the trailer's published GVWR (~16700 lbs). 23% of that number (~3841lbs) is the calculated hitch weight you should work with. Add to that passengers, hitch, and other added cargo weight to the TV. The total is the approx. payload you will need in a truck. I doubt a 3/4 ton truck will provide what you will need.
