Oregon Coast campgrounds with view of the ocean

We love the Oregon Coast and are looking for campgrounds that we can have a view of the ocean or at least a short walk to the beach.

In the Coos Bay area (Charleston, OR) we've enjoyed Oceanside RV Park many times. Not a lot of amenities, but right on the dunes. Dog friendly & great private walking beach just steps away. oceansidervresort.com

You might take into consideration the time of the year you are going. One seven letter word comes to mind...... F I s h I n g.. Thus you will need to make adjustments accordingly!

In case you missed it, there were a couple of good seaside suggestions in the posting http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=59147 I don't have experience with all the parks mentioned but I have stayed at the Winchester Bay RV Park numerous times.

Winchester Bay RV Park is on the Umpqua River just inland of the ocean. Miles and miles of beach shoreline is a short distance away. If you stay on the ocean side of the park (the trailer side), you will have the surf crashing right outside your rear window.

This picture is looking at the RV Park (on the peninsula near the bottom) where the trailer RV spots are on the river side

This is a picture of the park looking west (towards the ocean). The sand dunes start in the upper left hand corner where the river meets the ocean.

Our favorite is Sand and Sea in Depoe Bay, Or. But, reservations are a must for ocean view sites.

It is totally weird. We were at Winchester Bay about 2 weeks ago and asked for a site along the river (so we could have the nice ocean view). They told us there were none available. Well, the whole time we were there we could see LOTS of open spaces, including those along the river with ocean view. In fact the whole park seemed only half full. I guess it was me, must have been my blond hair!

We wondered that too Jim N Vicki when we left we wanted to stay longer because we saw the resort had lots of room left but a week later we ran into a couple that we meet there at Winchester resort at another resort up the coast and they said the day after we left it got STUFFED ,like was said before folks make reservations a year in advance ,some come in late ,leave early,do not show up and that makes it seem sometimes there is a lot of room sometimes
