I did that in our toy hauler. That camper only does boondocking so the original heater, aka noisemaker, had to go. In it's place we installed the Wave 6.

Diesel furnaces are used in the boating industry. I had one in my 47ft boat it would keep it 70 degrees in the middle of winter and used very little fuel.

these are what is installed in semi truck sleepers. they work well and other than adding a diesel tank i don't see a draw back. you could probably find one in a semi wrecking yard cheap.

they also use them as engine heaters where there is no power for a bock heater. we have them in our trucks that run montana and can't plug in while they sit.
