discontinued model

three months ago i bought a montana 3075, the biggest reason was it was the smallest montana they made. now i am told they have discontinued making it. why?? i am sure a lot of people would like to have a 30 foot model. the smalleast is i think ,is 36feet, bummer

Mi 2980RL has been discontinued, I think a lot has to do with the sales of the model, it is probably a very good unit, but it did not sell as expected, so.........they do what most manufavtures do discontinue it.
So you still have a RV you love, as all us 2980 RL owners do too. I still would have bought it even if I knew it was going to be discontinued.

The 2955RL is the smallest model they make and it measures 33' 9" and the pin weight is 1715 lbs.with 2 slides. This model is still in production.

The 3075RL is 34 feet 8 inches according to the Montana Montana Specifications for 2010 Web Page http://keystone-montana.com/index.php?page=specs

At one point the 3075RL was the second most popular Montana model after the 3400RL. The 3150RL is 34 feet 5 inches and has probably take that niche in Montana sells.

You may want to measure yours. We bought a 3280 RL thinking it was a 32 foot and when we measured it it was 37 ft.

I was told by a factory rep they measure the rubber roof front to back not the trailer.

We still like it and it pulls great.

Our 2000 3555RL was also discontinued after a relatively short production run- It is as close to perfect for us as any other unit we have ever seen regardless of cost or manufacturer- When some manufacturer builds this floorplan today or in the future, we will be prospects- I only hope we will still be able to continue our lifestyle at that time- Don

All trailer company's changed the way they measure their wagon's anymore. You can not go by the MODEL number like you used to and tell how long they are. I like my 2955 at 33.9 as hookman stated. I think it was in 1999 or 2000 that they done away with the first two digits of the model number being the length. In the old days, a 2955 would have been 29 1/2 feet long..... I do think the 2955 is the smallest, if I recall.....JB

We know the feeling of owning a orphan 5th wheel. We bought a Cambridge 358 5th wheel and in a few months Keystone discontinued the Cambridge. I still believe it was the best optioned 5th wheel Keystone ever made to date. It had options that higher end 5th wheel were just begining to build. The Cambridge was a very heavy 5th wheel, the weight of the GM 3500 DRWs and the Cambridge the weight was 25,600 lbs Gross weight. The only thing I think Keystone should have done was put 8,000 lb axles and Disk Brakes and it would have been complete. I did upgrade those two items. We wished many time we hadn't sold the Cambridge 358. We have friends who have the Cambridge 358 and have been full timing since day one they bought one of the early Cambridge. The only issues we every had were the Tre-dit Aluminums weren't any good and we had a water leak and that was the only issues we had. Keystone took care of the wheel problem after the warranty had expired. I have total respect for Keystone service center and Daryl, don't remember the name of who ok'd the wheels he was over the Montana and Cambridge line. GBY...

Different models get replaced or canceled due to the number of units purchased. Keystone needs to do what Open Range has done and that is to give you the square foot of living space in their units just like your stick house. Then you could purchase by living space and not by length.
