Powder post beetles

Well believe it or not but last week while getting the 5er ready for a trip to Jekyll Island I discovered powder post beetles in the dinette and a couple of the chairs. I noticed a small amount of yellow powder on the top of the table and looked real close and noticed the beetles crawling out of the wood. I've sprayed the inside of the 5er real good and was wondering what to do with the table and chairs. Any ideas?

Call your dealer, have them replace the table and chairs. you won't get rid of them all, Keystone has had problems in the past with this.

I had the same problem. Powder post beatles in the table support post and in one of the chairs. My dealer replaced all 4 chairs and the table. It took about 6 weeks but it was worth the wait.
Regards,
John

If it is any consolation, I had some in my unit, although I did not recognize the promlem at the time. By the time I read about it on this Forum, they seemed to have died out naturally. Have not seen any evidence of them for a couple of years now.

Nevertheless, I agree, call Keystone ASAP. Yours is certainly not the first. Someone there should be aware of this problem.
