We were there a few years ago and had a good time. Where else will you get a chance to taste so many different tamales?

Bakersfield is not that far, maybe four hours.
It`s not to late, it goes all weekend.

This is a true story.. 3 years ago we wintered in Apache Junction , Az. We were in a Wal mart parking lot and a lady in a truck asked if we would like a "Tamali" I asked ...."what is a Tamali" she looked at me and said..." you are not from around here are you"

Hey Rich,
That reminds me of our trip thru Michigan. Kept seeing these signs for "Pasties". Unfortunately we could never find a place that was selling them that had a parking space available. Found out later what they were. Actually I think it was last year at Q before I got all the details. Sorry I missed them.

The Festival was great. We tried different kinds of Tamalies, Chicken, Pork, Pineapple and Guava.
Lots of entertainment, Freddy Fender JR. and Band put on a show for about an hour and a half.
They had four stages with all kinds of music, one just Mariachi. All the show were free, we just
paid for the food.
