I don't understand why the difference but our 3400RL landing gear has a 40 amp fuse. I bought a breaker but haven't installed it yet. I can't find a plugin 40 amp breaker although a 30 amp plugin that just plugs into the fuse holder is available. But I can't see dropping down to a 30 amp breaker and having to let it reset periodically. We have no problems with our landing gear with the 40 amp fuse. I did blow the fuse one time but it was my fault.

The trim is the only thing that has really pissed me off. We did our PDI before going in and doing the paperwork. Spotted the trim right off during the PDI. But with just a little spit and rubbing it appeared to be going away. So I originally thought it was a easy fix. Told the guy doing the PDI and he was going to clean all the trim along with the other items on our list. So we go off finish the paper work as they finish our punch list. Come back and the trim does not appear to be done. I chase him down and he said he took care of it. I told him he better come have a 2nd look. It appears as the spots are wet they blend in just fine but as soon as it drys it looks like a leopard.

Please keep me informed with what you find out before you take delivery. They took photos of mine and sent it off to Keystone. So I am waiting on an answer.

I will let you know what I find out. I was supposed to pick it up Friday, but the new decals aren't in yet, so I will wait until next week. Doesn't sound like the dealer has done much to remedy the putty marks yet either. I'm giving them until next week to have a solution, then I'll be going elsewhere.

Has anybody else seen the issue we are talking about?

Welcome to the world of Rv'ing. We do not have those "spots" on our 06 3400 trim so it is not normal. From what we have been seeing lately with folks taking delivery of new units it appears that perhaps the quality is declining a bit.. perhaps a symptom of the layoffs, etc. You would think the last person any RV manufacturer would want to upset would be the buyer. Work with them. Make sure Keystone / Montana knows of your concerns. I don't think Montana wants to deliver unacceptable units.

Thanks Rich - I do intend to work this out. I want the 3400RL - we went to the show looking to buy a different floorplan and then saw the 3400 and were sold. I've ben RVing for 15 years and with Keystone for 7 years, so I know it is a decent product. In fact, I looked this thing over thoroughly and am actaully impressed with the fit and finish, except for this one major item, which can hopefully be remedied/refinished.

By the way, is FAA as in controller?

We have the same problem with the trim on our '09 3400RL. I consider it minor so it may not be as bad as yours. Please keep us informed with what you hear from Keystone.

I plan on calling the dealer tomorrow to arrange a time next Friday when we can bring it in since we will be traveling that way with the trailer for the weekend. Hopefully they will know something by then.

We don't have it either. I have to wonder if they used the wrong color putty to fill the holes. Surely the dealcer can dig out the old and use something that matches the wood more closely.
