Marathon bomb close call

Stopped at a rest stop outside Flagstaff Az. As I came back to the trailer, I checked the tires as usual. Wa la 1 tire was looking pretty bad, about to burst. I limped into town and got 4 new Michelin xribs.
Close call. Got 2 1/2 yrs on the bombshells.
And I have one of the lightest trailers.
Feel much safer with the Michelins, and not worrying if i creep over 65mph.

Yup there's nothing like the feeling of having good tires on the rig.

Fortunate. No telling what could have happened. You'll have less concern now.

You will really like them. I only towed my Missions (earlier China bombs) for one year before putting on XPS Ribs. Never even a low tire on the Ribs in 7 years and 19,000+ miles. But I guess it is time to consider replacing them due to age even though they still look new. Not even any age cracks showing.

Good job catching the bad tire! Worth taking a few minutes to walk around and do a visual, good habit to develop (took me a few minutes to figure out what "wa la" meant though...)
