Taylorsville Lake southeast of Louisville KY

We're planning to be in the Louisville area in about a month, and a friend of ours recommended the Taylorsville Lake State Park. There's hardly anything about it in Woodall's and their website is extremely limited, so I said to myself, "Hey, maybe some MOCer's could pass on some information.

So, if you know anything about the campground, let us know. Or, if you know a better place to stay close to Louisville let us know that, too.

Check out the 'Charlestown State Park' located in Charlestown, Indiana. The park has large sites with asphalt pads for parking and full hook up sites. The park is approximately 25 minutes into downtown Louisville via I65. This is one of our favorite state parks in Indiana. There is access to the Ohio River from inside the park. You can check on sites etc... and make reservations through the Indiana DNR web site.
