No longer full timing
It is with deep regret that we have to announce that we are no longer fulltiming. The economy caught up with us this last spring, although that may just be an excuse.
With all of the foreclosures here in SW Florida, we found a 3BR 2 bath house on 1.14 acres for under $70K, that's right under $70K. Rent at our park in Fl was approaching $700 per month for the winter plus electric, so we decided that if we have to stay down here we might as well buy a house.
Even though we didn't get to travel as much as we wanted due to still having to work, we already miss the fulltime lifestyle.
Down the road, maybe we can become long timers, or even full timers again. We certainly hope so.
So for now, the Monty is sitting on her pad in the front yard, looking really miserable. Gonna have to take a weekend trip soon just to cheer her up.

Sounds like you got a good deal. If it fits your needs, then it is especially good. Life changes and learning to flex with those changes keeps us viable. Hope your new adventure is a joyous one.

Good luck as you start this new chapter in your lives. Hope to see you on the Forum now and again ...
(By the way ... for those of you who may not be aware of this, Karen created the MOC logo!)

Wow! For that price I can't really blame you, especially with the 1.14 acres.
Hey! You can be "summer birds" now! Go north in the summer.

Whatever works for you! Think of the options. As you say, now you can become a weekender, vacationer, some-timer, part-timer, long-timer, or even a full-timer if you rent out your stick house, etc.
The only thing you've lost is more time in the RV. I hope you can keep it. Sounds like you have room for it.
After all, according to your Mark Twain quote, all things are possible. As Nike says, "Just do it".

Boy, you can hardly pass up a deal like that. Enjoy your new home and take Miss Monty out for a spin once in awhile.
