Disney World
Has anybody that has stayed at the campground at Disney World have any pictures of the place?

I have stayed there twice, but that was before I had digital cameras, here is a link to all the Ft Wilderness (Disney Campground) photos you could ask for: Ft wilderness Pics & Info
As a side note, both times I stayed there was for 2+ weeks, and I was in the "Preferred Circles" (Loops 100 - 800) each time, and it was EXPENSIVE, but safe, clean, very convenient, and ENJOYABLE!!!

Is there anything special about the "preferred Circles". Closer to the lake? Larger? Closer to activities?
And what is EXPENSIVE? Or does it fall under the category of "if you have to ask, you can't afford it?"

Thanks a bunch for the pictures! I have always wanted to stay there. Glad I was able to give you a reason to go take a look.

We stayed there twice. We loved it. As I recall, the preferred loop puts you closer to the lake, store, and has cable tv. I don't think the other sites have cable. Maybe that has changed. One nice feature is that you are the last to get on the transportation bus to the parks and the first to get off returning. The ride through the campground can get long. Also, watch out for the armadillos!!!

Coincidentlly, there is a current thread on rv.net on the same subject. Seems the consensus is that the preferred sites are closer to some of the facilities and activities and do have cable. But virtually all said the cable heavily promoted Disney channels (surprise) and had limited other channels and so wasn't that great. And some also said they could get local broadcast channels on their antenna at the park so did not need the cable anyway.
Otherwise, they said they could see no difference in the size of the sites or the way the sites were equipped. So location, location, location seems to be the clue.

I would guess you get what you pay for. The sites in the pictures are not like the crowded site where we were squeezed into a few years ago. But then we weren't on the high end sites either. Convenience is the best part of the deal. You don't have to pay for parking. Either way, it will be fun!
