insurance man said take your blown out tire to a tire dealer they will send it to good year there would be a settlement. I did that the tire dealer lost the tire??? insurance man call Good Year told them what happened SORRY NO SETTELMENT with out the tire.

Asked the tire dealer to make good, Waiting to see what happens

I guess the lesson here is to get a receipt for the tire when it leaves your possession and take pictures. If not, it becomes a he said/ she said. What a hassle.

What kind of settlement? One of mine blew last week. It looked more like tread separation. The whole tread peeled off and was gone. Luckly no damage to the camper. I just ordered 5 g614 online. Should have them Tuesday. A local goodyear dealer is going to mount them on my rims and balance for me. Then I will reinstall them.

Waterjone, did you take a picture of the tire? if so, get a ticket from the dealer stating you dropped it off, and with those two, Goodyear will help you, I would bet on it.
Raise as much diplomatic hell as you can muster, it gets results when you are in the right.
I got them to give me 4 new Goodyear tires because of outside wear. They offered me 3 different settlements, I held out for the 4 tires free because it was only fair. I paid for the tire shop charges. They are a good company and have a good reputation they want to keep.

You know a manufacturer has an issue when they have a claim dept unto itself. We had a blow out with 1200 in 5th wheel damage result from Good Year tire blow out. Goodyear paid for damage and cost of replacement tires that were NOT Goodyear! We had another Goodyear blow out this wknd so will be contacting Goodyear claims dept again. These tire blow out from apparent tread seperate on. Just wrong they sell these.

I've dealt with Discount Tire numerous times and have always had good luck with them. They first drew me in when I found out they would fix flats for free. That 'free' repair has caused me to buy many sets of tires from them.
