Chatfield State Park Co

I have been to a few state parks. I thought Florida had sweet places. I am sitting in a 20 on a scale of 0-10, Chatfield is a keeper, I've seen no bad spots. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. Went last year and are headed back this July. I notice that you have hit Arkansas too. The state parks there are very nice throughout the state.

We stay at Chatfield every timw we go to visit our son which is 1-2 times a year. It is by far the nicest state park we have ever stayed at.

If you get a chance, try Cherry Creek too. Not far from Chatfield!

Something to note (from the park website):
Max height at Deer Creek Entrance is 12' 6" . Vehicles of greater height must use Plum Creek Entrance.
Visitors with camping units pulling storage trailers/ boats may need to park their trailers in a nearby parking lot (Lakeview Parking Lot).
Some sites are equipped with tent pads.

Most of the Colorado State Parks that we have stayed at have been fine over the years. We have always found that our Montana 3750FL, with the 5 slideouts, had plenty of room and the Parks have always been clean with plenty of amentities and activities.

Most recently, this year, we have stayed at Jackson Lake State park, Boyd Lake State Park, Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

We have a Lifetime State Park pass that is available to anyone of senior age. It is available at any state park or by Internet from the Colorado State Park Headquarters.

Here is the info on the Colorado lifetime pass.

http://www.parks.state.co.us/ParksPa...nLeafCard.aspx

According to what I read, the price will go up to $300 on June 30.

Will,
Your caveat is "It's for Colorado Residents Only" right?
