Camping in ME, VT, NH & Eastern NY

Does anyone have any recommendations for camping in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and eastern New York in August? We don't need a swimmimg pool or a lot of activities, and prefer large wooded sites. Some easy hiking nearby would be nice too. Thanks!

You might consider Mi-Te-Jo Campground in Milton NH which is right on the Maine border. Very nice, wooded campground with sites on the larger size and the owners are great. http://mi-te-jo.com/

In Southern Vermont there is a campground called Pine Hollow Campground. Peaceful and well kept. It is located on route 7 in Pownal, Vermont. I have been all over the country and this is my favorite private campground. Great couple, Ron and Rachael own it. Lots of hiking around the area. The Appalachian Trail runs through Woodford, Vermont just 30 minutes to the West. Highly recommended. They do have a small website. http://pinehollowcamping.com
