MSRP for 10 c.f. Fridge - error?
We would have liked to order the 10 cubic foot refrigerator. However, the order form says this optino is $1,510.
At Camping World in Elkhart we saw the identical New Dimensions 10 c.f. refrigerator with retail price of $1,5xx. We also saw the identical fridge that's standard in the Montanas at $1,2xx.
Since the larger fridge replaces the standard one instead of supplementing it, shouldn't the price differential on the order sheet be around $300?
We have a 3400 on order and would have jumped at $300 for the larger fridge. But not $1500 additional.
Thanks. I hope this gets straightened out for future buyers.

I think this would be the case. On our invoice we have credits for those lesser items that were replaced by a more expensive item.

Sue, let me be sure I understand,
so, if you ordered the larger frig, they would give you a credit for the smaller one, then add on the price of the larger one??
Cripes, I never understood it to be that way, BLAST!! It sure was not made clear to us that we could do that. A lot more of us would opt out for the larger frig if it were only $300 or $400 more.
Is this gonna be another 200 pounds more for the gel coated sides kinda thing?? GRRRRR

We knew that but had forgotten all about it.It was a long time ago. I remember that the numbers did not make any sense to us and we asked that question on one of our factory tours. I also recall now that the difference in inside storage space was equated to the volume of one gallon of milk. We decided it was not worth the extra few hundred $ to pick up that little space...

On the microwave they gave us a credit for the standard and charged us for the 1/2 time.

I wish Keystone would offer a double door fridge like they had in the Cambridge. Or at least make it an option. =) Had I known the larger fridge was a couple hundred dollars(retail) more, I would have ordered it. As Carol says, Blast....

Steve, when I saw your post on the 10 cu.ft. refrigerator I grabbed the phone and called my salesguy, the order fo our 3400 had only been in a week and I thought if it was only a few hundred for the upgrade I would like it. He called Keystone and they told him no credit for the 8 cu.ft. which is standard, if I wanted the 10 cu.ft. it would be $1,5XX.00, I told him the 8 cu.ft. would do fine.

When we ordered our 3400 in June, the saleman said the same thing Old GI's salesman told him...the cost on the price sheet is the price we pay. Makes no difference what the item is, no credit.

Yes. the 10 cu foot frig is 1500 more. We did pay this crazy additional cost just to get 2 cubic feet. I can only say I really like the fridge and we did get 33% off of the entire unit. But that still means we paid 1000 more. I can say in our defense, I really wanted the 4 door frig offerred in the HR fifth wheel, and when we decided on the Montana that was the only regret was not getting the big frig. Since we saved 10,000. even with the extra frig charge and we got a better coach, I an ok with the overpriced frig! The HR also had an ice maker. So I purchased a super stainless steel ice maker which I keep in our pantry. (aka washer dryer closet)

we didn't get the credit either! We paid an extra $1500!(or somewhere around there) We were disapointed in the price jump for that little bit of extra, but we also felt we needed it.

I think it would have been worth the extra $1500 for the double door unit though. Of course that wasn't an option. I personally would like something more similar to a standard household frig ( also operational by lp) as well as a household oven!

My dealer has not accpeted my offers yet but when I told him I wanted 1200 off due to the credit he would get from the factory for the Refer he just sat there and didnt deny it and didnt argue to add the charge.

This topic requires my first post here. I just special ordered a 3400RL and picked up every option except the vacume that was available. Now when it came to the options sheet I do not believe that I paid fukll price for the options. In other words when I got my price bottom dollar the options came in at not even half of what the list is. To just let your dealer tack on those prices is way too dealer friendly without haggling. However if it comes to financing then they can use those numbers to make it look good to the bank. When it came to the pricing on the option sheet I did not let the numbers listed be the factor in having it or not. It was the bottom negotiated price I got the unit for. I priced out all over the country and told each dealer that I would drive a thousand miles if it meant saving thousands of dollars. Being from SD a dealer in OK won my business by around 2500.00. If it is only a couple of hundred what ifs then why not? Can't take it with you.

You did it right Tom.We did very much the same thing when we purchased our late 06 3400.Bids all over the country but purchased from a dealer @ 65 miles away. Was only concerned about the out the door price and trashed any bid that did not come in at 25% off.It takes time and patience but pays off..
