May be a silly question ... but.
What kind of technique do you use to wax the front cap?

8' folding ladder and lots of elbow grease! At least for the first time every year. After that I use the ladder and Turtle Wax spray Ice before each trip.

I have a dual head orbital buffer I use, and an 8' ladder.

Light duty 10' step ladder. Even with that it is a little bit of a reach to get all the way to the top front edge due to the curve.

I start on the roof then polish and wax as far down as possible, then to the step ladder with clean rubber boots on the feet the work my way down and around to the bottom. i use Nu-finish then a good coat of good wax. orbital polisher on, then hand towel to take it off.

Thanks all for the info. I just look up at the curve and just wonder how to get to it all .... I don't have indoor storage so I have to make sure I keep as much as the UV off as I can being we live at 6300 ft in Montana ... thanks again.

I thought you weren't supposed to wax the decals. Don't they pretty much cover the front? Or are your units painted front caps.

I use the Miashi method, wax on wax off. Except when I am in South TX then I call Roberto for $100 he will do the entire rig. All while I am sipping my margaritas.

Use telescoping ladder, one gallon of water, two micro fiber towels, and Croftgate Wash n Wax. However, usually first have to use bug remover for the hard to get off dried bug juice and try to be careful to not scrub against decals edges.

Our unit is 5 years old. Never wax, just wash & keep clean.
Use dryer sheets ( wet or dry. new or old) to get bugs off front cap.
Unit looks like new.

I back the pickup up to the front and set an 8 foot ladder in the bed. Gets you right to the top.
