Antenna Cable Routing?
Need your opinions or suggestions. Just received the following wireless internet equipment from the 3Gstore.com: USB760, CradlePoint 900 router and Wilson antenna. Everything works great. I have mounted the antenna on the rear ladder of the trailer, at the very top. Does anyone have an idea how to run the antenna cable into the trailer? Did not want to drill holes in a new trailer, unless there is no other way. Our fifthwheel trailer is a 2009, 3400RL.
Thanks.

I had a "data" (telephone) link through the wall by my desk. I drilled it out and run the coax end through that hole.

I ran ours through the slide out opening before the slide was all the way out. It has remained there since 2002.

Great idea. Wonder why I did not think of running it through the slide gasket.

I have my Wilson mounted to the ladder also. I take mine down each time I move so I just run the cable thru the window in my entertainment slide. Works for me.

I just take our antenna down, turn it upside down, and anchor it to the back of the ladder with bungee cords. No need to tear it all down every time you move. When the big slide is going in I just hold the cable taut until the slide is all the way in.

I have bought the same items as you did nowinter. I am little disappointed in all the equipment. I show on my signal meter on connection that I have full signal, but its far from being good as far as speed. Its like dial up and sometimes even worse. I deal with it, because its what I have and I am now hooked into a contract with Verizon. If anyone has a suggestion on what might be happening I am more than ready for the solution. I have talked with 3G and they say my speed is acceptable. End of story from them. I must also add, have worked with this on two different computers with the same results.

Did the same as H. John. Used the data port.
Champ49...what is your 3G speed. It will vary depending on location. Here at the stick house we are ,looking a 1.2MBPS. On the road we have seen much lower.

Rich......I just now went and did a speed test. This is the following results of the test. They did say it was a very low rating. I'm not really up on these tech things, but according to the graph they showed, I was very low.
Your Results:
Download Speed: 128 kbps (16 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 85 kbps (10.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency/Ping: 1281 ms
