New to fifth wheels with a Montana 3950BR

Hello Al!!! We are Terry, Jenni, Collin and Trent! We have been rv'ing for several years but last year we went outside of our "normal" box and purchased a new 2017 Montana 3950BR 5th wheel. So far we love the unit but there have been a few warranty "issues". I am sure this is true for ALL thing built to travel that are made of rubber, fiberglass, metal, plastic, glass, wire and so on. Just wanted to say hi to the group and introduce ourselves.

Kinda nice to get out of the normal box routine and do something different. Keeps the mind active. Welcome to MOC.

Hello fellow 3950BR owner! We bought ours in May, first 5th wheel as well.

We’re happy with it too. Having the washer and dryer installed tomorrow.
Might get a small solar system.

We have a few small things as well wrong, nothing surprising

All the best,
Kevin

Welcome to the forum, 3950BR is a great unit but i had many defects and finally the issues with Keystone decision to use the incorrect tires I trade for a different Brand. I think I got the lemon unit done in a day the guys were tired. Just verify your tires and if they are Trailer King consider to replace them. Read the thread tire bombs. I had two explosion that damaged my side panels. Also had a list of 11 defects that came just week after warranty expires. It is a beautiful unit, ENJOY it

Hey, I am Tom and my wife’s name is Ann. We recently purchased a Montana 3440RL fifth wheel. I’m sure we will have many questions but the first is:

While traveling, has anyone boon docked with the trailer attached to the truck? Can you still auto-level the jacks?

Keeping the 5er attached is no big deal but do NOT auto-level while attached. All kinds of bad things can happen including making your TV look ugly.
