Help, stranded with tire and suspension problems

Help! I'm in the middle of a month long trip with my son, currently in New Orleans, eventually heading home to NJ. I was just inspecting my trailer tires (G614 RST 235/85/16), and one of them was severely worn on one side, just down to the steel belt on part of the tire.
I have the Moryde IS Suspension, installed 10,000 miles ago. I'm assuming I have an alignment issue (camber wear).
Questions:
-The thread depth on the remaining 3 good tires is between 7-8/32", with new being 12/32". I heard below 6/32" should be replaced?? The tires have 20,000 miles and are 4 years old. I think I am answering my own question and I really should replace all four?? WHAT DO YOU THINK?
-If I replace all four tires, I was thinking on going with Sailun 235/85 or 80/16. ANY SUGGESTION ON WHICH SIZE AND WHERE I SHOULD BUY THEM AS I NEED THEM QUICKLY?
-More importantly, I need to get the IS suspension aligned. ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO FIND A LOCAL DEALER THAT CAN HANDLE THIS JOB?

On alignment, try calling MorRyde they are usually very helpful. On the tire, I'd just put my spare on and use the damaged one as a spare to get me home. In my case I do carry a 614 as my spare.

Unfortunately, my spare is not a G614. Lesson learned, buY a new rim and matching spare.

Don't panic there is no big problem, yet. You said you had 20,000 miles on the tires and 10,000 on the IS so you don't know if the IS is out of alignment or it was out before you put the tires on. I would watch the tire for a few days. If you don't see any more wear on the belt, keep driving. If you do see more wear on the belt swap the tires on that side or swap them now and check the alignment when you get back home. Either way enjoy your vacation.

No way do not run that tire down the road if its down to the belt. Not sure which montana you have and how much weight our dealng with but if it were me to get home and you cant find a decent trailer tire I would put a michelin ltx or equivalent michelin with an E rating to get home and check it every 50 or 75 miles for a couple of times to be sure its not getting eaten up. just a thought after re reading your post if you are going to replace all 4 I would break down the spare and put that tire on your worn tire put a new tire on the spare rim then when you get home put 4 new ones on and you already have a new spare so no funds wasted. again good luck to you.

I agree with not riding with the bad tire. As far as when the tire began to wear. 6,500 miles ago at this year's Montana Rally in Elkhart, I checked the tread depth on all the tires and they were all even. So something changed since then.
As far as using my spare and eating it up, that is an excellent idea. The spare is a Michelin The only concern is, the spare is a 235/80/16, while the G614's are 235/85/16 Not sure if that makes a difference with the IS suspension. I will call Moryde tomorrow.

The 80 or 85 series want matter as you are nor dealing with gears. Remember if it is an emergency then all things don't have to be perfect. They just have to be safe. Install your spare and you want have any problem. I have the is system and it has the caster and camber just like your truck. It would be good to call mor-ryde and they should be able to tell you the closest place to have the rv aligned. Good-Luck.

I would say you have some serious problem with the entire system. I have rite at 45,000 miles on my G614ís and still have 9/32 of the tread left.

How's it coming Johnsonw? Noted in your post and replies no one mentioned measuring between tires, tire to frame, etc. May provide a clue.

After talking to Moryde and some fellow RVer, we did a field Suspension adjustment, based on the tire wear. We are using our Michelin Spare and watching for uneven wear on our trip back. So far, so good. When we get home I have 4 new Sailuns waiting and I will get a Laser Alignment. Thanks to all for you help and suggestions!

Make sure you get the alignment FIRST, then put the new tires on. You certainly don't want to put the new tires on first, then compromise them waiting for an alignment, especially if you find further work needs to occur to get the alignment true. Once the suspension is correct, the alignment is performed, THEN the new Sailuns. Take care and hope this problem is soon behind you.

Please ask the alignment people to keep track of the changes they make and let us know what they find wrong. I would like to know what did your tires in because ours looked like they should go to 70,000 miles.

If an axle is out of alignment wouldn't two tires have the wear problem. Only one tire may be a bent axle.

Regarding the three good ones, why replace? When worn to the limit, you still have the option of a re-cut (clearly marked on the side of mine), although I don't know where you would go for that service. I don't think you will have much trouble selling part worn G614's
