Recommended PSI Sailun s637

We ordered Sailun S637 ST235/80R16 for our 2016 High Country 353RL. The wheels on the 353RL are 110 PSI. We have not had them installed yet. The tire dealer said he recommends using only 80 PSI for these tires. What do the others in this forum recommend?

Generally running tires under inflated isn't a good thing.

Bill has the tire dealer even looked up the data on these tires. If he has I doubt he would say that. Are you real happy with that dealer because a statement like his makes me very wary about his knowledge. Not trying to offend anyone but why would he even say something like that unless he does not know about load range G 16" tire specifications.

He typically puts G rated 14 ply tires on livestock trailers and said he had problems with another brand at 110 psi. I asked about the weight and he said livestock trailers with several cattle are usually heavier that the RV.

The valve stems on ours do not have anything that I can see that tells how much they are rated at. They are aluminum. Maybe when they take them of there will be something. The wheels are 110 PSI.

Bill, What pressure were your original china bombs set to? We have a 2015 - HC 353 RL. I am planning on the Sailun 637's this spring. The china bombs we have now are at 80 psi. Guess it is time to crawl under the beast and check the rims!

Were your original tires the 235/80-16 or 235/85-16's?

I run my S637's at anywhere around 105-108psi. Tires run cool and very smoothly at this pressure range. Tim
