That is good to know Bingo. I appreciate the input. My husband is trying to find out what brands and sizes we can get in Billings, MT. We may have to switch from Goodyear unless we want to go through Sears.

You might be able to get them at Sam's Club in Billings, but they'll have to order them.

Carol, worst part of any blowout is the potential significant damage to the trailer that often results.

I didn't know Sam's Club carried them. I will check there too. We are going to be running around today getting all of the items that we don't have...like the right sized sheets (new King bed...YEAH!)...so I will check with them. Thanks DQDick!
Thanks 1retired06. I don't want to drive on them at all but am I correct in understanding that most of the blowouts occur after they have been driven on a 2000miles or more??? I am going to try and get them changed out today. I am also checking into the tire monitoring system. I almost wish we were going to Yellowstone later this month because it would give me more time to check into this stuff. Oh well!
I appreciate all of you looking out for us!

We just bought a 2013 3100RL. The dealer told us that this one has a different set of Marathons on it. Did we screw up by not having him change them out? Should we travel to Yellowstone with them on Wednesday? Or should we get them changed out immediately?
That dealer definitly knows the history of Marathons and is just trying to get you off the lot with the tires you have. There is no new style Marathons or better Marathons, only bad Marathons. Yes trade those tires out. I recently bought my Montana used and it had brand new Marathons on it. Drove it 200 miles and then traded the tires out for LT's. Yes there is a cost now but the cost to have a trip interrupted and the side of your trailer tore up is more.

I know you are on a time constraint, but it may cost you about $500 to wait. I got 100% back on failed tires, but only 50% back on tires not showing failure. I'm guessing Goodyear will give you the same deal. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept the tires and I spent the next 10,000 miles worried until it actually happened. I was lucky and at a rally full of folks that recognized a tire about to blow!!!!

I think these marathons are worse that the Missions. That GY reimburses without a arguement says they are aware of the issue. However we had marathons of two of our TT's and never a problem???
