Has anyone replaced their Samsung Ent Ctr?
Has anyone replaced their Samsung entertainment center with a different one with Blu-Ray capabilities?
If so which one did you choose?

We went with the Samsung HT-C6600. It is similar to the DVD version only it includes Blu-ray, WiFi, and has an HDMI input for our satellite receiver. We also kept the old speakers since they were essentially identical and working fine.

If all you bought was the blu-army player, how did you get the speakers to work. I was assuming that if I just got the blu -ray player and connected it to the Samsung tv via the HDMI cable the only speakers which would work were the T V's. am I missing something simple?

The recent Montanas have an optical cable from the TV to the stereo. The HDMI cable carries the sound and picture to the TV and the TV outputs the digital sound signal via the optical cable to the Stereo (select "D.IN").
It may be something unique to the Montana and not provided on a Mountaineer. Or the optical cable has been broken. It should be easy to check.

I just connected the Blu Ray player via HDMI to the TV and all the sound is through the AV system and speakers. However I am going to try the HDMI switched that was mentioned on this forum and have all HDMI connections go through the switch and hopefully it will fix the mismatched sound vs picture issue.
