Pic is worth a 1,000 words

Got a call last week from the shop that my Montana HC was repaired and ready to pick. When I picked it up today this is what I was presented with....before and after pics! I’ll give y’all two guesses who did the work and the first guess doesn’t count 😳. Needles to say, it did not come home with me.

I don’t blame you for not accepting that. Pure lack of interest in doing quality work.

Yup!

Kind of makes you wonder about that good old American quality, doesn’t it. Really sad to say this is the way it’s heading in America! Pride in workmanship isn’t what it was back my day!

Well, obviously you told them you would only pay $100 max to get it fixed and they wanted $95 profit
That they even considered it fixed is ridiculous!

Hard to believe they would even have the nerve to think that would be ok.

Had a similar type of situation up in Ontario Canada at a very large dealership, the bottom skirting on the drivers side of our 3790RD worked itself loose of the self tapping screws that attach to the frame underneath (no washers around head of screw-bolt) and the wind caught it and it was destroyed. Made an appointment to have it replaced at dealership, took it there on day of appointment, they didnt get at it, 6 weeks later they phone and say it is done but the colour is slightly off on the skirting. When we dropped it off the new skirting was checked by me & the shop mechanic all good. Seems someone used a 2ft piece off the one that was to go on our trailer and due to the delay in working on it another mechanic made the right one useless. The girl in the office tried to tell us the one they put on was the right colour and ours had faded (not). Long story short, they ordered another piece and we waited another 4 weeks to get the replacement. I had them install with washers around the self tapping screws underneath and I also put washers on all the other skirting screws that attach underneath to the frame... These dealerships will try to get anything past you so I am not surprised.... We had to pay huge dollars in extra freight costs to expedite the right skirting....... BTW the colour matched perfectly... Only an idiot would think that was the right piece on your trailer.... WOW

A few years ago I took my TT in for some repair work. Got a call one day that said they ordered the wrong decals. Two weeks later I picked it up and didn’t notice till I was about two hours away and set up for a 6 month stay. They put the wrong ones on. Made a deal with them to get the new ones in and when I came back to town I didn’t care what they had in the shop but mine would be pulled right in and taken care of. To my knowledge they still have the decals and, I have a new camper. Thanks CampingWorld Omaha/ Council Bluffs.

I've seen a small repair and 2 large repairs done at CW in Myrtle Beach. Great job. Factory could not have done better.

All my support from CW has also been excellent.

Hard to believe they were ready to turn it back to you like that.

I personally believe the rigs would look a lot better and would be easier to keep up without any decals. We don't have them on our homes - why do they put them on our trailers.

It has nothing to do with the name of the dealer/service center. Has everything to do with the managers and service people!! Met some great ones and met some crappy ones.

I agree it’s the Service Manager he/she sets the tone for the center. From what can I do to make this work to I just don’t give a dam.

Some in the thread mention good experiences at CW. That's great. However, the overwhelming number of complaints and issues with CW generally makes them a place to avoid.

This is not meant to hijack this thread but I am seeing some Youtube content surrounding rumors that CW could be a potential chapter 11 candidate.

Each store is managed independently, so you need to talk about an individual store. Some done well and others not done well.

Very true about CW, dealing with SLC was fine, Idaho Falls, not so much, in fact terrible.
