SCREEN ROOM

We are thinking of adding a screen room to our list of items for a new 3400RL. We are interested in comments relative to the use, ease of setup, restrictions at campgrounds, etc. The unit we want is the one you attach to your awning. Thanks for your assistance.

We do not have a screen room but lots of people do and love them.
I would be concerned about the wind comming up, as someone that lives in Yuma My wife and I have had some experence with the wind and awings that not always turned out in our favor.

Alan, Having done a years worth of travelling, setting up and taking down, I don't think I would want the hassle, however, IF I was going to be stable for awhile, 2-3 months at a time, I would look into buying one. I think also, if I was in a predominantly windy area I might have to pass. I enjoy the awning being out and also like the "Patty O" shade that CW sells. Storing while under travel would be a concern also.....Just my opinion, of course!!

I used to have a screen room for my old Jayco 5th wheel. It was heavy, took up a lot of storage space and a pain in the backside to put up. I think we sold it after using it 3 times.

We do not have a screen room but what we do have is a screen that attaches to the awning and one side panel. They are easy to install and do not take up much space. We do not use it often but when we do it adds space and shade to our sitting area.
