Question about LCI LevelUp System

We are at a CG this week that had beautiful level concrete pads for the trailers. So this was the first time we were able to use the Auto Level feature. This is amazing to see the first time. Anyway when we leave tomorrow I understand the memory feature and how to activate it so the trailer comes back to the height where you unhooked. But here is where I am unclear. Before I do the memory thing, do I need to manually retract the rear jacks so that they don't get damaged from the front lifting? Or does the system do this for you?

Thanks
