It would work just the same. I have seen pictures of guys who have done it on other forums. Maybe have the tube notched out to get to the shackle bolts, there would be no need for end plates. I bolted mine on ,but notched the tubing to reach the nut on the wet bolt. If you weld them on you don't need the wet bolt to hold them , just have them notch the tubing that way if you needed to remove the wet bolts the brace would not interfere . All you would need is two pieces of 2"x 2" x 3/16" tube cut to length . The factory tubes may be 1/8" wall don't know for sure , I used 3/16 wall .
