It's been awhile but I finally healed from a back problem and once again tackled the issue. I took off the partition in the basement in order to get to the furnace which in the 2010 model is located under the TV area. I also took off the outside grill. I was looking for the limit switch and discovered there would be a lot more work getting to it. I thought I might as well give the furnace a try with everything open. The following 40 degree morning I turned the furnace on and it did not short cycle but remained on until the set point of 72 degrees was reached. I called the tech at Atwood (furnace manufacture) and was told I have a faulty limit switch as with everything open it works, but with limiited airflow around the unit (when it is closed up)the faulty switch was causing the short cycle. I think I will wait and let the service department due the repairs under warranty.
