Converter Location?
We picked up our new Montana 2955 last Friday just before the big rain here in the Mesa, Arizona area. The rains keep coming and with a cold and sore throat, I have had little exploring time. Here's the question. Where is my Intellipower 9200 convertor located? On my old SOB it was located near the batteries.
Some other questions and issues (for 2955 owners).
1- Where did you locate your sattelite TV receiver? It seems the Montana folks overlooked putting a space for it.
2- I assume the Trimetric Battery Monitor is located near the other controls in the hall. What is the easiest way to access the area behind the guages from the basement?
As the weather is still miserable outside and I am still suffering from a sore throat I thought I would seek these answers from the comfort of our new Monty.

In our 06 2955 the converter is located behind the furnace. I access it through the front storage bay street side behind the panel.

Con-grats on the new rig, picked-up mine in November. Converter is under the steps to the bedroom. Should be right behind the bottom step. I hope to put my sat rcvr in the space next to the Samsung stereo, I think there's enough room, but haven't tried yet. As to getting to the monitor from the basement, don't know.
Best of luck.

In my 2008 2955 the inverter is located under the stairs as mentioned above. As far as the sat receiver, I added a shelf to the cabinet underneath the TV and put it there. I also removed the raised panels from the doors and added smoked glass so I can use the remote with out having to have the doors open. Take the bottom leg of t cable loop off and hook your sat cable up there and you will be good to go.

I am looking for my converter as well. I have a 2007 3400RL. I've looked under the steps and behind the panel in the basement on drivers side. Nothing yet. Oh and by the way I'm new here and new to our new to us Montana fifth wheel.

Ours is behind the panel in the storage area on the curb side. I found it when I added a smart charger control to my convertor.

I don't have a 3400 but I think I recall other owners saying the converter is hidden behind the circuit breaker/fuse panel.

Ours is where Carl said. Ours is an early 2007. I'm not sure about those built in/after Dec 2006 (the late 2007 models).

I put our satellite receiver on the slide out tray that's designed for a computer.

Our 2006 3400RL has the converter located behind the breaker panel in the toilet. On a quiet night you can hear it running. It's very quiet. In the washer/dryer closet there is a vent located at the top of the closet. I'm not sure, but I think that may be a cooling vent for the converter.
