dumb question for first post

How do you swivel the table top, when i try the top of the table hits the window. I know there must be a lever to release it or something, but just cant find it , i can however move it back and forth. I cant understand for $ these cost, they can't provide some type of manual with instructions

The only dumb question is the unasked one. On our table, there is a lever beneath that pulls out to allow the table to swivel. Ours will hit the bottom of the blind if it is not raised up above table level, but it does clear the window with no problem. We have never slid ours back and forth, so perhaps you are slightly off center with the table top? And welcome to the forum!!

That's the dumbest question I've ever seen posted on this forum. Geez. Oops, did I say that out loud? I can't help you with your table problem as ours doesn't swivel, but welcome. Also try not to ask too many dumb questions, that's my job on here.

Ask every question you can think of. Most often someone here has been there and done that. Those that you look to for help now all asked beginners questions to start with, that's why they know the answers now.

Like Bingo, if I raise my shade I can turn the table ok.
Also (at least some tables) you can lift a stop bracket on the bottom of the table and slide it to one side 2 or 3 inches. That is enough on ours to let the table turn without hitting the shade.

Ours is like Bills. Slide it and then swivel and it clears the window just fine.

Under the table top there is a pen that can be pulled to swivel the top and is similar to the slide pen. You can work the slide and swivel movements together to avoid hitting the window. Your question was the very best one ever ask. Have fun and safe travels.

Yep, you have to slide the table off center first, then you should have clearance to rotate and clear the wall/window. Or you can remove the screws holding it to the floor, but if you do that you will have to devise a way of holding it in place during travel or it might fall over (don't ask).

Neil - Some of us who had tables that did not rotate added swivels so they could be rotated. If you want to see how I did it PM me and I will send a link to some pictures.

We couldn't get ours to work as designed and they just kept saying just slide it and rotate it. Well, long story short, it would not work properly because the bolt was too long. So, we were doing it correctly, but it would have never worked because it could not clear until they cut the bolt a little bit.

Our table didn't swivel, either. But, I fixed that problem with one easy solution. Took the stinking screws out that held it to the floor of the slideroom! Now, I can move that table anywhere I want to. Especially, to sweep under the pedistal feet.
