5TH Airborne Pin Box

Does anyone have a 5th Airborne pinbox??? Question: Can I use my pinbox tripod stabilizer with this pinbox? Thank you for the help.

George

Yes, works fine. You'll bend the tripod before compressing the air bag in the pin box.

I used a tripod with mine before I put the JTs Strongarms on.

I agree. But JT Stabilizers or equivalent will eliminate the need for a king pin style stabilizer.

Hi George

I agree with Styles. We used to have a tripod and now have the JT Strongarms. They do a way better job.

George, I have the Trail Air version of the 5th AirBorne and I use to use the tri-pod with it till one time I forgot to load it up and we never missed it so I quit carrying it. Just my opinion.

I had a tripod stabilizer with my Toy Hauler and 5th Airborne Pinbox, it worked fine as the lower plate in it's entirety bears on the hitch, not just the pin. I have since put JT's fore and aft on my 2008 3400RL and am much happier.
