I'm so sorry to hear about Roxanne's dad. I lost my dad January 31st unexpectedly, met the doctors with my father on January 25th to find out he had cancer and he died on the 31st. So I know how you must feel losing your dad.

John & Roxanne,

Your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. As you know we went through the same situation with Claudia's 92 year old step father on Easter Sunday so we understand your loss.

Judy and I are sorry for your loss John and Roxanne. You told a lovely story that will no doubt be the sunnyside of your relationship with your father in law. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I just wanted to say thank you all for your prayers and kind words. The MOC really is family and I'm glad I am a part of it.
Roxanne and I will be leaving for Louisiana and Mississippi to do a plantation tour leaving in early June. Look for us on the road.

Sorry for your loss, and we feel your pain. I lost my parents when I was very young (16/23) and I have just lost another Mother. Delaine's Mom pass on 21 April 6:57 pm. Meme was my second mother and she was Loved with all my heart. Meme also was in early stages of Dementia and she had prayed that she wouldn't have to be a burden on her Children, and her prayers were answered. All the family had 82 wonderful years with our Meme. GBY......

Thanks Lindy,
And you have our condolences as well. Being a Viet Nam Vet like you and getting along in years I have seen a few people die. I am familiar with the grieving process and personally I don't fear death. I KNOW where I will be after I die. This was my first time I was a part of making someone I care for "Comfortable" and "Helping" him pass. I am bitter that I had to be any part of that process. I know time and my faith will ease that bitterness.
Take Care and I hope we meet during our travels.

Thanks again,
I spent Sunday dinner with Jim's wife Dee. My mother-in-law. She is doing better. Perking up a little. 40 years of picking on one another feels odd not to throw a jab whenever I can. I have not stopped singing the mother-in law song whenever appropriate. She came over and played Bunco with the girls last night. It was good to see her smile. It will take time for her to heal. Can't wait to have her on top of her game again. Then she can quit holding back and tell me what she really thinks! Can't wait!
BTW I printed out your comments and shared them with Dee. She was touched and commented how nice it was to have total strangers from all over the United States offering prayers and support. So gang, there you have it. You are officially "special". I already knew that.
Thanks again,
John

John & Roxanne, We are so sorry to hear of Roxanne's fathers passing. Our thoughts and prayers will be including you both to ease your sorrow and anxiety. You remind us to give an extra big hug and kiss to the one parent we have left. Charlie will be 84 this summer, but thankfully is in pretty good health. God Bless.
Love & Hugs to you both,
Joy & Mel

John and Roxanne,

The bonds of love and friendship are not easily broken nor quickly repaired. Good memories and lots of laughter are great healers. May your lives be full of them.
