Had not thought of looking there. Thanks

Here is the Thermostat Manual go to page 11 will explain the Fan cycling in Auto!

Call dometic customer service and tell them what’s going on with the CT thermostat. They will send out a replacement/upgraded faceplate. Has to do with the type of foam that was used under the faceplate touch zones/buttons. I have three CT tstat and they we’re all doing similar things. Dometic replaced all 3 under their warranty no problem.

Bingo! Just got off the phone with them, and they are sending two, new faceplates!

That’s a fantastic (sorry for pun) resource to have on the forum. They really don’t provide enough info with the trailers

Have been in our 2018 Montana 3561RL since Mar 30th - front ac stopped working about 10 days ago - will get it in for testing on Aug 6th - my question is how cool do you think the main ac should keep the rv - 87 and sunny outside and humidity is less than 15 %.
Got thermostat at 72 and fan on high - current inside temp is 79. The ac kept it at 79 two days ago when it was 102 - not sure why 79 seems to be the best it does during the day.

When I just had them look at our rear AC air in was 95 and air temp out was 69. Said it was per spec. They did not document the amount of airflow.

I’m assuming window shades are down and limited to no shade. You’re doing pretty well with only one unit running. When outside temps get above 85 the unit is pretty max’d out. Shade is your friend when trying to cool a metal box. Ducts both supply and return are a well documented problem and a good place to start looking for loss. I know this doesn’t answer your question but some of us have spent many hrs improving supply ducts, opening return ducts, and trying to find a balance. Difficult to do when you only have one unit working. Good luck

not happy with AC performance

Just bought a montana high country 310RE. It has 2 AC units, the one in the living room/kitchen area is the 15000 BTU is the whisper quite one and the bedroom one has the dump air and they are both all ducted together. the issue is when spending the day traveling in hot weather we reach the campground and the ac is not capable of cooling the camper down. your only hope is that the outside temp drops considerable. YES its been checked out with the dealer and its all good, theirs only 2 degrees difference between the bedroom ac and the living room. the issue is the whisper quite ac doesn't push out enough air from the four ceiling vents , it needs the dump air option on it like the bedroom ac or maybe a internal pusher fan inside the duct work. I've never had a problem like this with any of my other campers I've had because they had the dump air and only one ac to boot. Another problem is that a lot of the campgrounds up here in New England still only have a 30amp hookup so I can use only one ac. not good and not impressed and! and that's just one of the many issues this camper had. The dealer has 68 man hours invested in fixing all the factory screw ups on this camper that was bought new this spring

To get better air flow on my whisper quiets I inserted 2 9" pieces of 1 1/2" PVC pipe in each return air vent to open the duct (if yours has the new plastic ductwork you probably don't need to do this, if it's cardboard you do) Then I took each supply duct out, cleaned up the tape and cut the part of the vent that protrudes into the duct down so it didn't block the duct anymore and then I cut every other fin off the vent to open it up even more.
