bigred715- I hook up my umbilical cord and power the jacks thru my truck's electrical system via the charge line.... both when I hook up and unhook.. I think it takes the strain off the camper batteries

Ours only had one as well, with Residential pkg.
i just installed 2 golf car 450, and made my own cables.
Dealer drilled holes to run the cables into the box, never hooked up the exterior posts and cables that were there.......idiots

dealer issue. this should have been discussed at time of purchase. but, one battery is fine in most cases, just keep it charged.

I agree it should have been discussed with the salesman but as a first time buyer unfortunately I find that out now which is to late. The policy should be take care of the customer so he returns and word of mouth is good for business.
This dealers only concern is closing the deal at the cost of the the customer no matter what.
Then he gets a atta boy good job!
This attitude puts a big stain on RV sales and ownership in my book.
So apparently my salesman passed this dealers acceptance test of customer disception with top honors.

I purchased a used 2015 3711fl legacy that has the residential fridge. Had one battery in it when I signed the purchase agreement. When I picked the unit up at CW and had the walk through before taking delivery they told me they installed 2 new batteries because of the invertor and fridge.Did not expect that and was more than suprized and pleased.

Good to hear you been lucky to deal with a good salesman and dealer because it seems it’s a crap shoot with CW dealers.
Hang on to them if they are fair and look out for you.

Mine came with only one battery and I knew it couldn't handle a residential fridge and power levelers, and 6 slides. Noted it on my PDI list of 13 and they never questioned it. I was ready to walk if they didn't add one.

Sam's Club will sell you a couple of 6V golf cart batteries pretty cheap. Not at all difficult to install. I have 4 in my 2010 3400RL with no issues in the last 4 years.

I think two batteries come with a residential frig. because you need them to supply power through the converter.

Two 12v
I looked into the battery box at the time of purchase and noted only one. I told them to add another plus throw in the fifth wheel hitch as part of the deal. There is s nationwide shortage of RV techs, long waits for appointments are typical. The one year warranty is not enough time given that you can have your RV out of service up to half of that time.

50 amp service up front
Has anyone used the "generator ready" set up in the front storage area to hook up a 50 amp plug in? I want to connect to the generator in the bed of my truck when we are pulled over for a rest so I can run the AC without dragging my long cord to the back of the unit.

This is a fairly common addition. Do a Search on "front plug" or similar words and you should find previous postings on this topic. Here are a couple of examples from the list I found:

We rarely camp without power so only one battery is on our trailer. If you often camp without power then two batteries is the way to go.

your best deal is to use at least four (4) 6 volt "golf cart" deep cycle batteries..
tons of write ups about the reasons why.
but the so-called deep cycle batt from walmat are not. and are a rip off.
use the best converters and chargers you can afford. as well as wiring them in correctly. you will always have the electrons you need..... got solar?
