Steps stiff
The foldout door steps on our 2009 Montana 3400 are very difficult to fold in or out. What do you spray on them to loosen them up some?
I don't see any adjustments you can make.

I use wd40. I'm sure any penetrating oil will work.

Any spray lub is good. I use some with silicone thinking that it may last longer. I doubt that it does. WD-40 seems to evaporate pretty fast for me. Whatever is handy and I have the most of. Soon after spraying, you will be adding a lock pin so the wind doesn't blow them down in travel....JB

Like deadeye states I use about any spray and it works well. It does not take much at the pivots to do the job. I never have a problem with dirt collecting where I spray.

Silicon Spray. It will last longer than WD40. Typically spray ours once and it is good for the entire season.

I used WD40 when mine were stiff. Then a year or so later they were so loose I had to start using a bungee cord to hold them in when traveling or they would open out.

That was just what I needed. It worked fantastic. Now no hard to open steps. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have used 3-in-1 oil, silicone spray and WD-40....all have worked well.
