I don't think Keystone has an extended warranty. But our dealer had one (Riems in Manassas VA). So most dealers probably do. Also Good Sam has a service policy that takes care of most items. Its called Good Sam Continued Service Plan (CSP). If you join Good Sam, The information will be in your official good sam membership handbook. Along with taking care of your trailer, they have a good sam emergency road service plan which I have used twice to change a tire on the RV.

My Monty was previously cared for by a couple that had purchased a third party, seven, year service extention. It was transferable for a small fee of $70. Therefore I have five years of this service policy left. I have asked the local dealer if they honored the policy and received an affirmative answer. It has a $100 deductible. I believe the one offered by Good Sam is very similar.

Our dealership offers an extended warranty called "The Choice Protection Plan". I believe it was $1,218 for a seven year "bumper to bumper" with a $50 deductible. The thing I like about this plan is the seven years starts at date of purchase of the warranty contract, not date of purchase on the coach itself. The company said it will honor that as long as the coach is under the original factory warranty. I bought my 3400RL in April so I am still under the factory warranty, will be buying my extended warranty in March to make sure I have enough time to get paper work done before the coach is out of warranty.

Montana Sky, just wondering who owns that policy, which company? And are they likely to be in business the entire 7 years? What happens if they shut down? Just some thoughts.

Steve,
Very good questions, from what I understand they have been around for more than 15 years. They are more aggressive towards the motorhomes and motor coaches. Fifth wheels and travel trailers are also covered but we trailer owners dont often hear about this company since we tow our coach not drive. I do not know which company they underwrite through but am sure going to find out. Will let you know as soon as I make it back to the dealership to find out. I am sure they just run when they see me coming, as I usually have at least 100 questions for them each visit. =)

Sounds like you're well on top of it, Dave. It just sounded like a good way to get hung out to dry if a company were to belly-up. But it sounds like you're checking it out pretty thoroughly. Good luck.
