Water Pump Run Dry Question

Anyways we are at our spot for approx 3 months and brand new to this life and our 2007 329RK ?? Think that’s it moving on when we arrived we got the run down of how everything works by our sellers. He forgot to mention that the water heater works on propane OR electric so for the past three weeks we have been running it on propane. We would just turn the inside switch on 10 min before showering ( yes I do have a point and am slowly getting there ) so last night my husband told me he was on his way home I was in the middle of making dinner so I quickly ran over and flipped the switch ( because I am a good wife and wanted him to have hot water for his shower ) what I didn’t realize is I switched the wrong switch and actually turned on the pump. When my husband came home and there was no warm water we then discovered what I did. Now reading through my manual it states in big letters DO NOT USE PUMP WHEN FRESH WATER TANK IS EMPTY - it was only on for like 15 min or less but fresh water tank is empty - how do I know if I did serious damage ?

Good wife who is now in dog house

You probably didn’t hurt it. The next time you put water in your tank you will know for sure and even if you did hurt it no big deal they cost about a hundred dollars and after you get to it they are easy to change.
Don’t worry
Lynwood

After thinking about this I think there is almost no chance you harmed your pump. I have forgot to turn mine off while traveling and when I stopped the pump was running with no harm.

Like stated, your probably ok. If you did burn it up, they are usually easy to get to and are relatively cheap. Anyone with half a brain should be able to change in out.
